Full, partial or accent highlights?
Full highlights brighten your whole head for the most even, noticeable lift. Partial highlights focus on the top and around your face, where light hits most. Accent highlights add a few bright pieces, perfect between bigger appointments or as a first step toward blonde.
Adding a root color evens out regrowth or grey at the same visit.
What lowlights do
Lowlights are pieces colored a little darker than your lightest blonde. They add depth and dimension, soften a look that has gone too bright, and help highlights grow out more naturally. Many guests ask for a mix of highlights and lowlights in one appointment.
Highlights or balayage?
Highlights give a brighter, more uniform result and need regular touch-ups as they grow. Balayage is softer and grows out more gently. Going very light? See blonding. If you are torn, book a free color consultation.
Keeping it bright
Toner fades over time, and warmth can creep back, especially in Alabama humidity. A toner refresh starts at $26 and a gloss at $51, so many guests book one between full highlight appointments.
